The E-portfolio initiative is a new experience for me as I am not used to posting all of my assignments and separately posting the links to my page on a separate site. However, it has the advantage of streamlining and giving the very beneficial opportunity to compare work with that of our peers to improve work of our own. You can also connect with your peers more socially, making it easier to work with them. We can compare points and perspectives to further refine our own. I feel as if once I become accustomed to the portfolio blogging process, that it will be much easier to follow. I like the concept of being able to personally create your own page, the basis for your work. The websites themselves are also fairly easy to explore. The process can also help us become far more tech-savvy which can help us in the work force, especially in today’s technologically reliant modern society. The ability to create your own website is also a tremendously important skill to have in today’s world. At first I was skeptical of the e-portfolio initiative but after giving the concept more thought, I am excited to further my educational experience through it.
